Some Exciting News

Hello Ladies, I am sorry I have been away so long, owing many of you a visit to your blog, one of you a give-away goody, and just lots of blog-world catching up to do.

The truth is, however, I just haven't been feeling up to it. And truth is, I haven't been feeling up to much these days. And if you look above this post, and notice my shiney new ticker, you'll understand why. :) Caleb and I are expecting a baby in late April, and I am about 11 weeks along today. God has blessed us, I am very excited and thankful to our good and gracious God for blessing us in this way. I of course appreciate prayer for my little peapod and his or her development.

As excited as I am about the pregnancy, I have been more sick than I thought possible! I didn't know you could feel so terribly unwell as an expectant mother. I have not felt well in about a month now, having a hard time eating anything, not just in the morning, either, but all day! I'm tired mostof the time and have a hard time doing much. And so blogging, both reading and writing and other things, have really, really taken a backseat. In fact, I get extra nauseated if I'm online for very long, so I don't promise to be blogging regularly until I am feeling better. I start my second trimester next week, and I know many ladies start to feel better around that time, so i am praying this will be the case for me. Again, I appreciate your prayers in this area as well, because I am behing in my housework and at the office, and really in every way! :)

God bless all you ladies and hope to see you soon!

How cool! Congrats. April is the best month, but I'm a little biased being an April baby myself.

I thought you were from all the comments you've been leaving on Facebook! BUT I didn't want to say anything!! Very happy for you! Take it easy! You deserve a break and all the rest you can get now! Enjoy!!! When I was pregnant, I was also very sick the first few months, so you're almost through the rough part.

CONGRATS. I was guessing that it was a baby ,but when a long time went by and we had not heard from you I was worried it was something bad. Wonderful to know it is one of God's little miracles .

Congrats, Nicole! I am so excited for you! I have heard that for a lot of ladies, the sickness ends around the 12th week, so maybe it won't be around much longer! I am praying for you and Caleb and your wee one!

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU! and excited to get to share this journey with you! I am probably about 4wks maybe more since breastfeeding really threw us off.
Try eating dry roasted unsalted almonds. so far its working for me plus I saw Michelle Duggar eating them on their reality show I think its impossible for those to upset your tummy! again I am so thrilled for you! keep in touch and rest rest rest!

Gracious me.. congratulations to you!

I have to tell you, during my first pregnancy I didn't feel the slightest twinge of nausea, or any other type of unwellness, for that matter. I was oh-so-smug (secretly though, of course!) I was certain that the fact that I took good care of myself, exercised, etc was the reason for my easy time. Then my second pregnancy came along... and oh Lordy-be! I was sicker than sick, and wimpy about it too. Kinda washed all that smugness right outa my system, I can tell you. Ha!

So now, even years later, I always feel compelled to tell that story at every available opportunity, as penance, I suppose;) BTW, I found an herbal tea sort of thing that worked absolute wonders for my extreme nausea. I can't remember what it was at the moment, but if I can locate the exact herb, I'll come back and share it.

Blessings to you dear♥

Hello, I'm just peeking in from your comment on Sugar Pie Farmhouse. I recently made the same announcement on my blog - I am 16 weeks with my first! It's fun to hear of others in the same boat! I understand the sickness, believe me!!

Congratulations. I hope you start to feel better soon. "Granny Smith" green apples did wonders for settling my stomach when I was PG.
